ReturnRepair to concrete and spallings
The advantages of Prompt natural cement, such as its quick setting, good bonding and durability, mean it can be adapted to many repair works.
In particular, it allows concrete to be repaired: in particular, window sills and reveals, steps, balcony spallings, drain raft foundations, run-offs, floor concretes, curbs, etc. Whether used as a mortar or concrete, Prompt natural cement saves time on worksites, and in many cases it offers a very good solution for normal internal or external repair works.
It allows this type of work to be done in any kind of environment, even difficult environments: works exposed to the sea or sea air (ports floors, jetties, repairs to holds, dikes), as well as works at great heights and emergency repairs in dangerous surroundings.
Preparation of the surface:
If the element to be repaired flexes (for example a stair), it may be necessary beforehand to insert studs into the solid part of the concrete.
Depending on the quantities to be prepared, the retardant adjuvant Tempo may be used to delay setting.
For certain applications where bonding is important (e.g.: repairs to the undersides of balconies), use Prompt natural cement with a 2/1 volume dose.
Doses (in volumes):
PNC | Sand | Water | |
Ordinary dose | 1 | 1 | 0.3 to 0.5 |
High dose | 2 | 1 | 0.6 to 0.9 |
Advice:
Setting time can also be adjusted by using the retardant additive Tempo.
