Basic properties

Low shrinkage

The initial shrinkage is measured as soon as the mortar has sufficient strength for the mould to be removed. As a result, shrinkage prior to mould removal cannot be quantified. In proportional to the dose of binder and the water / binder ratio, this can be considered as low with Prompt natural cement. These relatively low readings allow us to apply substantial thicknesses of roughcast mortars without an excessive expectation of cracking.
