Decorative renders on recent materials

Structures:
Renders of between 0 and 10 mm: imitation stone decoration and finish, in new structures and restoration, on new materials (concrete blocks, bricks, etc.), door frames, window frames, cornerstones, etc.


Areas of use:
Decoration, private houses.


Benefit of using Prompt natural cement:
Stone colour, finesse, good bonding to all surfaces, durability.


Doses and preparation:

  PNC Sand Water
Normal dose 1 1 0.3 to 0.5
High dose 2 1 0.6 to 0.9
Moderate dose 1 2 0.7 to 0.9
Low dose 1 3 0.8 to 1

The time for the onset of Prompt natural cement mortar setting can be adjusted by using the retarding agent Tempo.


Advice:
The colour of the sand used is important. The dosage of Prompt natural cement can be increased (compared to the normal dosage) to deepen the light ochre colour and slightly vary the stone colour.
The use of Tempo is crucial in this application to avoid repeated masonry repairs, and complete in one go the surface between two connections or stone joints.
A “scratched” finish, once the mortar is set, quickly produces the final colour.
In case of bad weather, protect exposed mortars in the first hours to ensure colour stability.
